Biography


A lifelong resident of Danbury, Emile Buzaid has dedicated his life to our community through decades of service, leadership, and local business involvement. He and his wife, Theresa, have been married for 49 years, building a life rooted in faith, family, and civic duty.

His public service began over two decades ago, including two years as a Constable, and now spans seven terms on the Danbury City Council, where he currently serves as the Minority Leader. Beyond city governance, he's in his second term as President of the Rivington-Hills Home Owners Association Board and serves as the HOA liaison to the Master Reserve Board, continuing his commitment to neighborhood advocacy.

A seasoned entrepreneur, Emile owned and operated several Danbury-based businesses, including the Buzaid School of Music, Buzaid Music Company, and Maxx G and P LLC, contributing to the city's cultural and economic fabric.

His financial leadership was equally impactful, having served on the Board of Corporators for Union Savings Bank for 40 years, where he was honored as Corporator of the Year in 2003. He also lent his skills and dedication to national service, working as a civilian contractor for the United States Military Academy at West Point within the Department of Military Instruction.

Rooted in his faith, Emile is a devoted member of Saint Anthony Church. His educational journey began at Saint Peter School and continued through Immaculate High School, culminating in a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Western Connecticut State University--a reflection of both his passion and profession.

With deep ties to Danbury's past and a continued vision for its future, Emile Buzaid remains a respected leader and steadfast advocate for the people of his hometown.
